Canyon Canastero

Canyon Canastero: (Asthenes pudibunda) is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It is found in Chile and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. Canyon Canastero is distributed in the Andes from north-west Peru to northern Chile. It is found in arid pre-puna scrub at between 2,400 and 3,700 metres. It is brown above with a greyish head and a whitish supercilium that broadens behind the eye. The wings and lower flanks are rufous as is the tail and it is the most rufous-looking of the canasteros in Chile.
